The road on the peninsula in UNESCO Heritage Zone 1 has collapsed further from the rain this past season. The road runs along the Nam Khan (the river that joins the Mekong River). It is a very beautiful part of Luang Prabang and teenagers love to ride their motorbikes round and round at night (much to my dislike).
The road first broke away in 2016 and this year it has collapsed further. Hopefully, something can be sorted to protect the area before a further collapse.
